Hot on the heels of our post yesterday, the BBC yesterday reported that Shanghai is now also facing electricity restrictions. You can see the article from the BBC here.
The article mostly covers what we have previously reported, both yesterday and last month. What is important about this story is that the problem has now spread to an major city such as Shanghai.
The article says that the first priority is domestic homes, with offices and shops being the first to face the prospect of shortages.
The article also mentions that at least 10 provinces will feel the heat, pun intended, as the mercury climbs this summer.
AZ China has recently completed an in-depth study of the problem, and has a White Paper available for those interested. Contact us if you would like to obtain a copy.
